Balloons and Children

I've been a little negligent on my Project 365 where I take a photo a week based on a set theme. This past week the theme was "Up" and my friend Heather suggested a photo of a child holding a balloon on a hill. I thought that was a great idea! So, with that in mind, I recruited a friend of mine and asked if I could take pictures of her children. This is the result:

Well, I can't just hand some kids a balloon without taking a whole bunch of pictures. These children are so photogenic that all I had to do was point the camera!

The youngest is 2 and she was all over the place. I was so tired the next day I could barely move! :-)

The middle child is just so sweet and helpful. Everything I asked her to do she did. Doesn't she have the kindest face?

The oldest is about 9 (I think) same age as one of my grandson's and my granddaughter in Indiana. They are friends so when I see her I think of Maddie. Same kind of personality too.

As I said, the 2 year old was a moving target! Just about the only time I could catch her with her sisters was when she ran by!

I put this photo in just because I love it. I'm not sure what it is I like about it so much....maybe the whole going into the house with the old screen door thing. Reminds me of my childhood in Oklahoma. My Grandma and Grandpa Eyster had a farm with 400 acres. The house was not very large but was so cozy and the porch was killer big! We used to sit on that porch and watch the fireflies come out at night. We'd sit in the afternoon and shuck corn or snap peas. Little tiny town of Kinta, Oklahoma. Blink you eye as you were driving by and you'd miss it for sure. Good memories.

Here she is again! I caught her a few times.....

And, FINALLY, we get to the THEME! This was about the only picture I got with the balloons. It was windy and that whole idea of "looking up" just didn't pan out.  I'm not disappointed at all, though, because I love this picture. It shows the girls personalities. Sometimes the best "shots" are the ones not planned at all. ♥

Thanks Carrah and Brett for allowing me to take pictures of your beautiful children!
